My name is Ellen, and in Greek, it means "light." I guess this is why I've always felt the urge to shed light on the darkness, try to make positive changes, make the world a better place. But, somehow, long ago, I lost my nerve, and my voice. It's taken me a long time, but I finally know my worth and value my creativity. I'm 74 years old, and I'm ready to share my talent and speak my mind. Better late than never, right? Trite but true.
I began making jewelry many years ago, by taking a jewelry making class as a pleasant distraction during my second (ouch) divorce. I was immediately hooked. What began as a hobby, became an obsession, and I've gone through many phases, a few brand names, and often allowed life's kicks to get me down and off track. But, I've always come back to my passion more determined than before. And, I've always wanted my brand to make a difference - to help women in some way
I chose the name "Elysium Originals" because it struck a chord in me, helping me feel powerful and valuable - you know, like a precious gem. It's a long-awaited experience, and I want women who wear my jewelry to feel the same way.
My goal is for you to feel so powerful that you're not afraid to be yourself, go against the grain, and wear what makes you feel good, no matter what the current "trend." Powerful in that you are ready to help make some positive changes in the world, esp. for women. We need you.
For me, this is more than just a jewelry brand - its a new way of life. I hope it can be the same for you. You choose jewelry for how it makes you feel. Choose with your heart. Know that Elysiun Originals are crafted with intention for you to know the gem that you truly are.
